Welcome to the ICEL Website/Networking/Communications group blog! (can anyone think of a neater name?)
This blog is open to members of this group only and I shall be chairing - rather I hope facilitating, it. What do we want to write about? Well, our main task, if I remember right, is to find ways of extending the network of people committed to experiential learning and to spreading its ethos and practice, all towards the prospect of another great conference this time in Sydney. Also, I hope we'll use the blog for sharing our own EL ideas and experiences (WOW!) .
Here's a starter for myself.
I was at a workshop in a group where we had to place, in rank order, a set of cards on which were written definitions of 'Quality'. 30 minutes of intense discussion, but no time to explore how 'quality' revealed itself in the group discussion as such. A missed trick?
I'm also using opportunities to mention ICEL 2008 to anyone involved in active learning, learning through inquiry, problem-based learning, etc., and making this a 2-way process.
So, let's get started!
